Kids Wish Network, a nationally recognized 501 (c) 3 organization, dedicated to infusing hope, creating happy memories and improving the quality of life for children, would like to send a huge thank you to Back To Basics Toys and CSX. Some brave children all across America are smiling thanks to these charitable companies. Back To Basics generously donated more than $171,000 worth of fabulous toys and games to Kids Wish Network, while CSX was kind enough to donate the delivery of these toys.
Back To Basics Toys, Inc. was founded in 1988 by discerning parents who wanted their children to enjoy the same quality of play that they remembered and cherished. Over the years Back To Basics Toys has continued to help bring back classic, quality toys that had disappeared from the shelves of American toy stores. Back To Basics Toys remains a unique source for classic toys, open-ended toys and products with quality craftsmanship and value.
The fabulous goodies donated by Back To Basics include educational computer games, classic board games, stuffed animals, remote control cars and quality children’s books. These wonderful gifts will be included in the Kids Wish Network’s unique Holiday of Hope Gift Bank program, an uplifting program that brings cheer to children in hospitals and facilities around the country. Barbara Askin, Director of Distribution for the Kids Wish Network expressed her gratitude to Back To Basics, “Our Holiday of Hope events bring such joy to hospitalized children and their families and would not be possible without caring donors like Back To Basics, Inc.”
Of course, it would not be possible for children to benefit from Back To Basic’s benevolence without the added generosity of CSX. One of the nation’s leading transportation companies, CSX was kind enough to donate the delivery of the 47 pallets of toys from a distribution center in Illinois, to the Kids Wish Network’s distribution center in Holiday, FL. Based in Jacksonville, FL, CSX’s transportation network spans approximately 21,000 miles, with service to 23 eastern states and the District of Columbia, and connects to more than 70 ocean, river and lake ports.
Thanks to Back To Basics Toys and CSX, the donated goodies will be placed in pediatric care facilities all across America and given to the children to ease their anxiety when they arrive for treatment.
