Early Holiday Cheer Brought to Local Kids by Kids Wish Network

Holiday, FL- Children from Citrus and Pinellas counties will be having a real blast this holiday season, thanks to Kids Wish Network.

 

Regardless of our country’s economic condition, Kids Wish Network is more than excited to be able to give to children in need. This year, Kids Wish Network has been able to give toys and necessities worth $20,000.00 each in retail value to two different family facilities: CHIP in Clearwater and the Citrus County Family Resource Center.

 

The purpose of CHIP is to positively intervene in the issues confronted by and surrounding the homeless in Clearwater and upper Pinellas County.  As for the Citrus County Family Resource Center, they have many varied resources and support services for families in need. Both of these centers have hands-on programs for children and Kids Wish Network was more than happy to pitch in and give some fabulous items to the two facilities including toys from some of the top toy manufacturers in the country, clothes, baby necessities, games, books and even more items that had been kindly donated to Kids Wish Network from many generous sources.

 

When the facilities picked up their allotments from the Kids Wish Network warehouse, their representatives were stunned at the amount and the different types of donations that they were receiving. Kids Wish Network even got a call from one representative who, after going through some of the boxes of toys, had to ask if her facility had received the right shipment; her facility had never had such a generous donation of new and desperately needed items before.

 

Kids Wish Network is a nationally recognized charitable organization dedicated to infusing hope, creating happy memories, and improving the quality of life for children. In the case of CHIP and the Citrus County Family Resource Center, the donations of items will most definitely bring hope, joy and happy memories to plenty of kids in Pinellas and Citrus counties this holiday season.

Seeking Some Early “Happy Holiday” Cheer for Kids Wish Network’s Special Children and Teens

Holiday, FL –  Kids Wish Network, a nationally recognized 501 (c) 3 organization that serves children with life-threatening illnesses, is desperate for your help! We are in need of donations of toys and games for children of all ages: from infants to teenagers. However, sadly, our teenagers are often neglected in our efforts! It is extremely challenging for us to gather donations geared towards kids between the ages of 12 and 18! With the economic climate of the country today, it’s becoming harder and harder to find donations at all, let alone ones that fit our kids needs. We are understanding of this difficulty, but the children still need our help; without your assistance, we cannot give these kids the joy they so deserve during their times of need.

 

We work hard each and every day to bring joy to some very courageous kids through our wish granting services and our gift giving programs. Our wish granting services were created to fulfill the wishes of children who may never have the chance to experience something amazing like this again, while our gift giving programs distribute thousands of dollars worth of toys and games to children within hospitals and child care facilities across the country. In order to do this, we rely on the generosity of toy manufacturers and companies nationwide to donate their products to be given to these children. It has been proven that these toys help alleviate fears and anxieties by allowing children to temporarily forget about the pain and fear often accompanying scary and uncertain circumstances.
We do our best to fill our wish boxes and to stock teen rooms at hospitals and children’s care facilities across the country with items appealing to teens, but it is very difficult as we are seriously lacking in items for them.
At this time, we are desperately seeking any of the following items for our teens: electronic hand held games, game system games for all game systems, DVD’s for older kids (G-rated), listening devices including iPods and MP3 players and books for teens. We are also more than happy to receive donations of toys, games, books and electronics for younger kids as well!
If your company manufactures or distributes any of these products, please contact Kids Wish Network’s Distribution Center. Any help would be tremendously appreciated!  Kids Wish Network will gladly pay for shipping within the continental U.S.
