Bringing Assistance to Those Who Need It: Kids Wish Network Needs Brand New Toys, Games and Other Gifts for Kids Wish Network on Tour to Help Children and Families in Need

HOLIDAY, Fla. – Kids Wish Network, a nationally recognized 501 (c) (3) organization dedicated to improving the quality of life for suffering children, is getting ready to kick off two more Kids Wish Network on Tour events and they are in desperate need of donations of toys, games, books and other gifts for children aged from infancy to 18.

National children’s charity Kids Wish Network has just begun a groundbreaking new program called Kids Wish Network on Tour, which was designed to help children across the country facing difficult situations of abuse, neglect and poverty. The goal of Kids Wish Network on Tour is to give these children, who range in age from infancy to 18, toys, fun books, games and other gifts to help ease the burdens that they deal with year round.

Kids Wish Network on Tour has partnered with shipping giant Megatrux to deliver truckloads of toys, games and gifts to different locations across the country in trucks emblazoned with the Kids Wish Network on Tour logo.

For each event, Kids Wish Network works closely with the local Sheriff’s department and city officials in order to reach out to the most disadvantaged children in the community who have endured the most severe cases of child abuse, neglect and family violence. This amazing act of teamwork also helps to foster a good relationship between the children and the city and county officials who truly care.

Since the overwhelming success of the first Kids Wish Network on Tour event with the families, Sheriff’s department, city and county officials of Madisonville, Tennessee, several upcoming On Tour events have been scheduled: one in Yazoo City, Mississippi in July followed by another event in Los Angeles, California in August.

As these dates are rapidly approaching, Kids Wish Network desperately needs the help of manufacturers and distributors who deal with toys, children’s books, games and other smile-making gifts. For each On Tour event, over 2,500 children will attend and Kids Wish Network is in need of donations of the items mentioned above. Anything you can possibly spare will be greatly appreciated, as Kids Wish Network wants to give these brave kids a very special day and leave them with memories that will last a lifetime.

Help Provide Comfort in Times of Despair: Kids Wish Network is in Desperate Need of Brand New Stuffed Animals and Plush Toys for Children in Crisis

Holiday, FL –  Kids Wish Network, a nationally recognized 501 (c) 3 organization that serves children in crisis nationwide, is desperate for your help! We are in need of donations of brand new plush toys!

After working with children in crisis for over 12 years, we at Kids Wish Network have found that children truly love to play with classic toys, especially plush animals. Despite the demand for high-tech gadgets, plush toys remain on the top of the list of the most desirable items.

Playing with a toy is a calming and relaxing activity for kids who are suffering from illnesses, distressed while dealing with harsh circumstances like homelessness or trying to cope with other traumatic situations such as abuse. The wonderful feel of a soft, plush toy also provides great feelings of security and comfort to children in despair and they make the finest friends.

Probably because of their worldwide appeal to children of all ages and situations, plush toys are some of the hardest products to keep in stock; there is always a high demand for these classic toys. Without the assistance of the manufacturers and distributors of these items, we cannot give these kids the joy they so deserve during their times of need. Right now, especially after the holiday giving season, we at Kids Wish Network are in desperate need of plush toys to send out to children in need.

With the Holiday of Hope Gift Bank program, we distribute many thousands of dollars worth of toys and games directly to children within our network of hundreds of hospitals, shelters for sexually abused children and other specialized care facilities per year across the country; there are no middle men involved.

Because of the difficult economic times, more and more people are flooding into homeless and abuse shelters, many bringing their children, who have little to make them smile. This is where Kids Wish Network works best, bringing happiness to the lives of these kids.  

In order to bring joy to these very deserving children, we rely on the generosity of toy manufacturers and companies nationwide to donate their products to be given to these children. It has been proven that toys help alleviate fears and anxieties by allowing children to temporarily forget about the pain and fear often accompanying scary and uncertain circumstances.

What a Success! Kids Wish Network Gives Thanks for their Network of “Guardian Angels” at the 2011 International Toy Fair in New York

HOLIDAY, Fla. – Kids Wish Network, a nationally recognized 501 (c) 3 organization dedicated to improving the quality of life for suffering children, had the chance to extend its appreciation to their many wonderful donors at the International Toy Fair in New York.

This was Kids Wish Network’s 9th year attending the International Toy Fair, held in New York’s Jacob K. Javits Convention Center, and we were more than excited. Once there, we set up our beautiful brand new booth, which was donated by ExhibitCraft, Inc., in our usual booth space #401, generously donated once again by the Toy Industry Association.

Throughout the exciting and busy days of the toy fair, we met with and were able to give our personal thanks and “lucky” Guardian Angel coins to the many companies and people who have donated their toys, games and gifts to us over the past year. These donations help make our mission possible and have helped us reach thousands of children through our unique programs including our wish granting services, Holiday of Hope Gift Banks and our newest program, Kids Wish Network on Tour.

Our representatives were also able to meet many new contacts in the amazing world of toys. It is heartwarming and exciting when people express an interest in helping us help the kids.

In addition to giving thanks to past donors and meeting new contacts, our Kids Wish Network crew was also able to witness the introduction of many new and exciting products to the international toy market in a bright and bustling environment. We couldn’t believe all the wonderful items we saw that would be absolutely perfect for the children we serve nationwide; the playrooms of all the facilities we serve will be full and the childrens smiles will tell an amazing story of kindness.

Our time at the International Toy Fair was wonderful and a true success. Thank you to all who helped make it possible.
