Holiday, FL- National children’s charity Kids Wish Network reaches out to the U.S. Army’s Operation Toy Drop by providing over $360,000 dollars’ worth of brand new toys, clothes, games and other necessities to be given to children in need across the country!

Since 1998, U.S. Army base at Fort Bragg has hosted Operation Toy Drop to benefit children in need. During a week-long toy drive, paratroopers and other members of the military bring new, unwrapped toys to the base to benefit deserving children all around Fort Bragg. Once collected, the toys are sorted, wrapped and distributed to local children’s homes and social service agencies.

With Kids Wish Network’s support, this year will be the first that the program is able to include other military bases across the country to benefit children’s homes, shelters and advocacy centers. Additionally, Fisher Houses – a safe “home away from home” for the families of service men and women receiving care at military hospitals and medical facilities – will receive toys and necessities from Kids Wish Network to help brighten the holidays for the children in their care.

So far, in their second round of shipments, Kids Wish Network has sent out brand new toys, clothes, games and other gifts with a retail value of over $360,000 to military bases and Fisher Houses across the country in support of Operation Toy Drop:

• Over $70,000 was shipped to Upton, CA
• Over $19,000 was shipped to Austin, TX
• Over $40,000 was shipped to San Antonio, TX
• Over $90,000 was shipped to Lewisville, TX
• Over $90,000 was shipped to Ft. Bragg, NC
• Over $20,000 was shipped to Baton Rouge, LA
• Over $20,000 was shipped to St. Louis, MO

The best part is that Kids Wish Network is working extra hard to send out more toys and necessities to even more military bases and Fisher Houses nationwide. It is an outstanding effort that truly embodies the meaning of “holiday spirit.”

Holiday, Fla. – National children’s charity Kids Wish Network has once again partnered up with CSX, Food City supermarkets and the Kingsport Chamber of Commerce and hosted a successful Santa Train event. This time, over $500,000 dollars’ worth of toys, strollers, clothes, educational products and other necessities were handed out to over 5,000 children living in extreme circumstances throughout the Appalachian Mountains.

Due to the overwhelming needs of people in the Appalachian Mountain region, CSX Corporation, Food City supermarkets and the Kingsport Chamber of Commerce host an annual Santa Train event – this year being their 69^th. This Santa Train is a beautiful, historic 9-car train loaded with toys and gifts that travels through the Appalachian Mountains and has become a holiday tradition for the impoverished families who live there. Over the course of only one amazing day, the donated toys and gifts are distributed directly into the hands of thousands of children and teenagers in need at 14 scheduled stops from Shelby, Kentucky to Kingsport, Tennessee. The toys are divided into pre-packaged bags according to age and gender which are then handed to the kids on the ground.

This was the third year that national children’s charity Kids Wish Network provided toys, strollers, clothes, educational products, games and other gifts for deserving children and teenagers served by the Santa Train. Kids Wish Network’s Executive Director, Anna Lanzatella; Associate Director of Finance, Tam Lai; and Karen Pelle, the President of their Board of Directors also went along to help hand out over $500,000 dollars’ worth of the donated toys and gifts.

The Kids Wish representatives were right in the middle of all the holiday action as they helped put gift bags overflowing with toys directly into the waiting hands of children, assisted with organizing the bags and getting them ready to be given out. They even joined Santa Claus and country superstar duo Thompson Square at the railing of the train’s caboose to toss toys and gifts out into the crowds of people!

“This Santa Train was certainly a humbling experience that I will never forget,” said Executive Director, Anna Lanzatella. “There were so many people waiting for the train at each stop that it was hard to move around. I was touched to see smiles light up the sad faces of the children as they received their gift bags with outstretched arms. Their parents were so overjoyed and appreciative of all we were doing for their kids – it was quite overwhelming. The Santa Train is a wonderful holiday tradition and it is such an honor to be a part of something that spreads so much cheer during the holiday season. We can’t wait to be a part of the big 70^th annual Santa Train next year!”

This year, Kids Wish Network committed to provide over a quarter million dollars’ worth of brand new toys, games and other necessities for this outstanding effort.

It has been proven that toys help alleviate fears and anxieties by allowing children to temporarily forget about the pain and fear often accompanying uncertain circumstances.  “The need isn’t just here in Fayetteville,” said a spokesperson for Operation Toy Drop. “It’s national. It’s all about the kids and getting toys out to them.”

Additionally, Fisher Houses across the country will be receiving toys and necessities from Kids Wish Network for the children of our service men and women receiving care at military hospitals and medical facilities.

Holiday, FL- Kids Wish Network received an amazing donation of wonderful DVDs and CDs to help promote and encourage healthy physical and mental development in babies from specialty manufacturer BABYPRO, LLC to distribute to children in crisis through their gift giving programs.

In a world where physical activities are often shunned for non-physical activities such as playing video games and watching TV, getting kids interested in physical activity as early as possible is definitely a must for parents. Unfortunately, though there are products out there, many families facing uncertain circumstances such as homelessness or joblessness, are unable to provide these for their children. The kind folks at BABYPRO, LLC saw this and decided to reach out and generously give many of their amazing sports DVDs and CDs to families in need through national children’s charity Kids Wish Network and have been doing so as a treasured member of the Kids Wish Network “Guardian Angel” network since 2005.

BABYPRO, LLC is a unique manufacturer of videos and music CDs designed especially to combine “cognitive learning with physical concepts” to engage infants with healthy, fun physical activities. They believe “a child’s interest in sports and active play should be cultivated from infancy…movement and exercise benefit little bodies by building flexibility and strength, and help develop muscle coordination, gross motor skills, body awareness and self-esteem.”

This marvelous donation of outstanding DVDs and CDs came just in time for Kids Wish Network, as they are gearing up for several upcoming events with their unique Holiday of Hope Gift Bank program and the groundbreaking “Kids Wish Network On Tour” program. Both programs bring joy to children all across the country facing difficult circumstances such as illnesses, abuse, neglect and homelessness by providing them with toys, books, clothes, educational products, games and other necessities. Holiday, FL- National children’s charity Kids Wish Network is proud to be able to provide toys and gifts to be given out to children of military families during the month of December through Operation: Care and Comfort and Operation Military Kids.

With many parents, guardians and other loved ones overseas, the holiday season can sometimes be the hardest time of year for the children of military families. This is why Kids Wish Network has partnered with Operation: Care and Comfort to bring the joy of new toys to children of service men and women from all branches of the military, including the Reserves and honored veterans this coming holiday season.

Kids Wish Network is proud of its growing relationship with the U.S. military, as we are honored to provide toys for the U.S. Army’s Operation Toy Drop. We’ve also recently worked with the squadrons at the Davis-Monthan Air Force Base in Arizona to grant the special wish of a young boy who wanted only to be a “pilot for a day.” The boy was presented with a flight suit and honorary wings, was given a tour of the squadron along with the “boneyard” for out of commission aircraft and was even given the chance to “fly” in an official U.S. Air Force flight simulator.

To make their holidays brighter, Kids, Kids Wish Network has pledged to provide half a million dollars’ worth of toys, games and necessities to thousands of children from struggling military families throughout the Bay area served through Operation: Care and Comfort and Operation Military Kids.

Holiday, FL- Kids Wish Network recently sent truckloads of toys and gifts across the country to bring joy to children in need. Now they need the assistance of toy manufacturers and distributors to help send out even more toys with their upcoming gift giving events.

Picture in your mind the wide, bright smile of a child as they hug a brand new toy or open a fun new game. Now imagine that this child has gone through difficult circumstances such as neglect, abuse or homelessness; perhaps they are sitting in a hospital bed because of an accident or a lingering illness. These are the children for whom the “joy of toys” becomes even more special and meaningful. Not only do toys and games provide these children with a welcome distraction from their unpleasant situations, but they can also bring comfort and a sense of normalcy.

With donations of brand new toys, games and other gifts from some of the top distributors and manufacturers worldwide, national children’s charity Kids Wish Network works non-stop all year round to help bring the “joy of toys” to children facing difficult circumstances; they do this through their gift giving programs: the Holiday of Hope Gift Bank program and Kids Wish Network On Tour. The Holiday of Hope Gift Banks are pallets of toys, gifts and games sent to specialized facilities such as hospitals, homeless and abuse shelters to distribute to  children in their care. With Kids Wish Network on Tour, several semi-trucks are packed completely full of toys, games, clothes, baby strollers and other necessary items and sent to various cities across the country for children in need.

Kids Wish Network recently completed a Kids Wish Network On Tour event in Monroe County, Tennessee and they have also shipped a Holiday of Hope Gift Bank to HealthBridge Orange in California.
