Posted in Press Releases on January 29th, 2014

HOLIDAY, FL (January 29, 2014): The creative company behind cartoon icons like Betty
Boop
and Popeye the Sailor, Fleischer Studios, has partnered with children’s charity Kids Wish Network to donate its classic memorabilia. Kids Wish Network distributes these contributions through the Holiday of Hope Gift Bank and On Tour Event programs. Fleischer Studios was officially named in 1929 by Max Fleischer, current CEO Mark Fleischer’s grandfather, after Max had been working in animation for 14 years. Max Fleischer was a major pioneer in both the creative and technical development of animated films, and is responsible for creating the beloved Queen of Cartoons, Betty Boop.

Since 1972, Fleischer Studios has worked closely with King Features Syndicate, which acts as the exclusive worldwide licensing agent for Betty Boop, and all the Fleischer characters. King Features is a long-term supporter of Kids Wish Network and its programs.
