Community-conscience company donates to children’s charity

Posted in Press Releases on September 25th, 2014

BROOKLYN, N.Y. (Sept. 25,2014): Brooklyn-based company, BAGGU, recently donated almost $20,000 worth of environmentally-responsible product to children’s charity Kids Wish Network to help kids facing life-altering circumstances. The donation will be distributed through the charity’s Holiday of Hope gift-giving programs which reach children suffering from homelessness, neglect, abuse, or illness.

Kids Wish Network is a national, charitable organization dedicated to infusing hope, creating happy memories, and improving the quality of life for children having experienced life-altering situations. While also known as a wish-granting organization, Kids Wish Network has developed programs to assist all children in need.

As a first-time donor, BAGGU has now joined the Kids Wish Network Guardian Angel family where some of the biggest names in business have long-standing relationships. With the help of these generous Guardian Angel donors, hundreds of thousands of children facing upsetting and often traumatic circumstances are given new gifts and other necessities to help ease difficult situations.

BAGGU produces simple, high-quality bags in bright colors that are durable and fill many uses. The products are designed to be as eco-friendly as possible and are constructed to minimize material waste. The community-conscience company recently launched its first store, located in Brooklyn, N.Y.

Spreading the Cheer: Seasonal Gift Banks

Posted in Press Releases on September 18th, 2014

HOLIDAY, Fla: The Kids Wish Network Holiday of Hope Gift Bank program has helped hundreds of thousands of children across the United States feel the joy of receiving a new, comforting gift. Now, it’s getting close to that time of year when joy is supposed to be in the air, but children are still facing difficult and tragic circumstances.

Kids Wish Network has recognized the need and is working again to provide joy right in its own backyard. Last year, during its seasonal Gift Bank program, the charity distributed over $700,000 worth of new gifts and necessities to more than 30 local shelters, charities and other organizations.

Each organization received a Gift Bank stuffed full of puzzles, laptop desks, board games, action figures, books, blankets, cameras, school supplies, hygiene and beauty products, pillows, backpacks, jewelry boxes, educational toys, headphones and more. Through the support of generous donors, children facing abuse, neglect, illness, homelessness and other life-altering circumstances were able to receive new and necessary items.

“I would like to thank Kids Wish Network for everything that you do,” recalls Ricky from the Boys & Girls Club of Tampa Bay. “You have given us the opportunity to give over 500 children something to open on Christmas.”

“Without Kids Wish Network, we wouldn’t be able to help our kids,” adds David with the Hillsborough Fire Rescue. “Without your donation, I would have to scramble to find gifts. Kids Wish Network has made our event possible this year.”

Kids Wish Network is coordinating the distribution of its local, seasonal Gift Banks right now. Each organization can receive a full pallet of new gifts and necessitates worth over $20,000. The charity has already started receiving requests and the list is growing every day.

If your company manufactures or distributes toys, gifts, educational products, clothes, games, accessories, electronics, or other items geared towards children and teenagers, now is the time to join the Kids Wish Network Guardian Angel family.

A “Gift Box” of Happiness: Extending the Wish Experience

Posted in Press Releases on September 4th, 2014

HOLIDAY, Fla: Since 1997, Kids Wish Network has developed many programs that have reached hundreds of thousands of children facing difficult circumstances. The organization was originally created to grant wishes for children suffering from life-threatening illness and that remains one of our main focuses today. Now, more than ever, we are dedicated to going above and beyond to create lasting experiences for our kids.

Once a child gets a magical wish granted by Kids Wish Network, whether it’s to meet the Disney Princesses, explore the Florida beaches, travel to historical sites, meet a famous celebrity or shop for their favorite items, the child becomes part of the Kids Wish Network family.

We always keep in contact with our Wish families, and one way we do this is through wish boxes. A few weeks after their wish experience, our Wish Coordinators pick brand-new gifts, supplied by our “Warehouse store”, and stuff a huge box full of fun things specifically packed for the Wish kid and their family. We also send out smaller wish boxes if any of our Wish Kids have surgeries, hospital visits or episodes relating to their illnesses.

With so many Wish Kids and so many wish boxes to fill, our “Warehouse store” needs to be constantly restocked. Thanks to all of our generous Guardian Angel donors who contribute to our Holiday of Hope Gift Bank and On Tour event programs, our store is usually stuffed full with new gifts that any child would love, but occasionally, our stock runs low.

The joy on the face of our Wish Kids after they receive a wish box is priceless, and they are always extremely thankful. Your company can help be part of that magic for kids just like Mattingly or Emileigh.

“Mattingly got a huge box from Kids Wish today,” said her mother Heather. “She was jumping up and down and was so excited. She didn’t even want to eat dinner before she started playing! Thank you guys so much!!”

“There was a knock at the door one day last week; Emileigh and I went to open the door and there was this huge box!” recalls Emileigh’s mom Kelly. “Emileigh saw her name on the box and that it was from Kids Wish Network; she was so excited! She said, “It must be Christmas, because I never get this much stuff”. Kids Wish Network has blessed Emileigh and given her so many memories to cherish. You have gone over and above our expectations as parents. We never expected this much generosity!”
