Kids Wish Network

Des Moines, IA - Few things bring a smile to a sick child’s face faster than a brand new toy. There are a lot of smiles right now at Mercy Medical Center thanks to Kids Wish Network’s Holiday of Hope Gift Bank. This special program is an uplifting, gift-giving event that brings cheer to children admitted to the hospital for treatment. The organization is honored to be able to provide toys with a retail value of over $60,000 to the hospital through its unique Holiday of Hope Gift Bank. This special Gift Bank is being sponsored by Wal-Mart and American Equity Investment Life.

 

The toys were delivered to the children courtesy of Megatrux, a long time supporter of Kids Wish Network. The company has generously delivered thousands and thousands of toys to kids all over the country in support of Kids Wish Network’s many programs.
The toys will be distributed throughout the year to children coming in to Mercy Medical Center for medical treatment.
Lisa Fox, Child Life Specialist at Mercy Medical, said the hospital is thrilled with their toys. “The donation is every Child Life Specialists dream! We were amazed as we kept getting box after box delivered to our storage room. These donations really help out our program which runs on limited funds.  As our patients endure medical procedures, it’s fun to see their faces light up as they get to pick a prize out of the treasure box at the end of the procedure. Thanks so much for helping us brighten the days of hospitalized patients at Mercy Children’s Center in Des Moines, IA! We appreciate it!”

As just one of the programs that makes Kids Wish Network different from similar organizations, its Gift Bank is an uplifting, gift-giving program that brings cheer to children admitted to the hospital for treatment. The brand new toys and games, donated by some of America’s top toy manufacturers, are distributed to sick youngsters when they come to children’s care facilities for treatment. The Gift Banks help alleviate fears and anxieties by allowing youngsters to temporarily forget about the stinging needles and uncomfortable treatments often endured while undergoing medical care.

Las Vegas, NV - Hundreds of pediatric patients in Las Vegas are receiving something very special to make their time at the hospital a little easier: brand new toys. University Medical Center is the proud recipient of Kids Wish Network’s unique Gift Bank program. Kids Wish Network, a national charity dedicated to infusing hope, creating happy memories, and improving the quality of life for children, is thrilled to be able to provide toys with a retail value of over $60,000 to the hospital to be given to its young patients. This exciting event is being sponsored by UnitedHealthcare. The toys were delivered into the hands of the kids thanks to Megatrux, Inc.
Megatrux, Inc. is a longtime supporter of Kids Wish Network. This wonderful shipping company has delivered Gift Banks to countless hospitals all over the country and was eager to get on the road and head to Las Vegas.
The toys will be distributed to pediatric patients coming in throughout the year for treatment.
