Kids Wish Network Delivers Much Joy to Sick Kids in South Florida
Holiday, FL – Few things bring a smile to a sick child’s face faster than a brand new toy. There will soon be a lot of smiles on the faces of children at The Children’s Hospital of Southwest Florida thanks to a donation of toys worth approximately $60,000 dollars from Kids Wish Network’s Holiday of Hope Gift Bank program and a party thrown by the Gottlieb Family Foundation!
One of the programs that makes Kids Wish Network different from similar organizations is their Holiday of Hope Gift Bank program. This unique program was designed to bring joy to children at facilities such as hospitals, police departments, fire departments, homeless shelters, and many different specialized programs through donations of toys and other needed items. The beautiful toys, games and gifts are donated by many manufacturers nationwide. Once received by Kids Wish Network, these amazing products are distributed directly to the facilities and into the hands of thousands of children and teens.
The Children’s Hospital of Southwest Florida will soon be receiving their Gift Bank and the children at the facility will soon have something amazing to smile about! Being away from home and undergoing painful and uncomfortable medical procedures are incredibly scary experiences for these courageous kids; the toys they receive go a long way in bringing them comfort when they need it the most.
When the Hospital receives their Gift Bank, they’re planning on celebrating its arrival in November with a special “Kick-Off” party that is kindly being sponsored by the Gottlieb Family Foundation! What fun!
